Mary Juliana |
|
|
Senior Account Manager |
|
|
Mary Juliana has over 12
years experience in marketing communications. Graduating from the
University of Pennsylvania in 1989, she worked on Capitol Hill for a
future New Jersey governor, then as a legislative aide to a New Jersey
Assemblywoman. In these political roles, Mary wrote speeches, press
releases, articles and opinion papers, testified at House and Senate
hearings, ran election campaigns, then later worked for a lobbying firm
specializing in economic development issues.
After her stint in public
service, Mary worked at Campus Dimensions, Inc., the largest college
campus event marketer in the US where she coordinated national sponsorship
events in 25 cities for such clients as AT&T and ABC daytime
television.
Mary moved to southern
California in 1996 and ran co-marketing promotions at Vons supermarkets'
before becoming director of marketing for A.T. Mallad Enterprises, the
world's largest Little Caesars Pizza franchisee with 159 restaurants. Mr.
Mallad also owned 10 other national franchises including Bruegger's
Bagels, Baskin Robbins, Golden Corral Steakhouse, Mobil Oil, Jiffy Lube,
Big O Tire and a 50,000 square foot country-western nightclub. As director
of marketing for all of Mr. Mallad's entities, Mary was responsible for
marketing, advertising and public relations activities including media
placement and purchasing, local store marketing, co-promotions, grand
openings, press coverage and agency management.
After relocating to northern California,
Mary caught the high-tech bug and worked for several start-up companies in
marcom management positions. In these roles, she managed all marketing
communications activities including product launches, press and investor
relations, analyst coverage, collateral production, website development
and trade show coordination. "I've worked for corporate America,
entrepreneurs and start-ups and in each case I've learned the same
thing," says Juliana. "Vendors need to treat your business as if
it were their own. And that's the way we run Secret Sauce; we watch your
business."
